Produced in the USA, Citizen NBMI (also known as OSR) test each batch with Spectrix Analytical Services who use HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and Mass spectrometry to determine purity.
Purity is at 96.6% (last batch officially tested July 2026) with about 3-4% of the mass as cysteamine as well as dimers and trimer molecules (these are in every NBMI ever made).
Cysteamine is a by-product of the process and is a natural and nontoxic precursor to Glutathione and Taurine. Citizen leave the Cysteamine in to lower costs and solvent load and instead triple wash and include a generous double curing method to ensure a very clean product.

Citizen NBMI will last for 5+ years with very little issue at room temperature according to results of storage studies. This product does contain cysteamine, so may degrade more rapidly.
Citizen suggests refrigerator or freezer storage for best research results, and longevity.
